The Art of Being Thoughtful.
Spring is here!!! Well – almost. But I am thankful for the change in weather, among other things. Over the last few days, I’ve been sending out quite a few “thank you” notes. Some of you may have heard me say before how much I love receiving thank you notes, as well as how important it is to send them. I probably have every “note” I’ve received from the last couple of years. I actually light up with joy every time I get one in the mail. There’s nothing like receiving a note that someone took the time to put pen to paper, say thanks, seal it, and drop it in the mail – stamp and all. It’s an intentional thought of gratitude. It’s personal. It’s how you connect and build relationships. The thought of sending a thank you is consideration. Acknowledging what someone did for you is respect. And being sincere in your note of gratitude is honesty. Consideration, Respect, and Honesty – these are the principles of etiquette.
